About Our Church
Meet our Pastor
Pastor Mihail Baciu is originally from Romania. After 20 years of pastoral ministry in his country, Pastor Baciu came to the United States in 1999 to pursue his Masters of Divinity at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Upon completing that program, he pursued a Doctor of Ministry degree, which he received in August of 2006, while he was employed by the Wisconsin Conference beginning in 2002. In his service to the Superior district of Wisconsin, he was the pastor four churches. Following five years of pastoral ministry in that beautiful area of Lake Superior, WI, Pastor Mihail Baciu accepted a call from the Southern New England Conference to be the pastor of the Springfield district of Massachusetts. He served there for eight years. In 2015, he accepted the call to be pastor of the Waterford, Norwich and Willimantic churches in Connecticut.
Pastor Baciu feels very blessed to have a happy family. He says that his wife, Viorica, is the “best” partner in his ministry besides God. Their two daughters, Ada and Eva, complete their family circle by bringing a great amount of joy to their hearts. Since the Bacius became grandparents (Amelie born in August 2016), they feel even more fulfilled in this life.
One of Pastor Baciu’s favorite Bible passages is: “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:36-37, NIV) These verses are words of encouragement and promise that Pastor Baciu values not just for himself, but that he hopes all believers in Jesus, our Lord and Savior, will claim and treasure as well.
